Regarding Genesis 3:15, Tell me what you think
by unbaptized ingenesis 3:15 states " i shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed.
" " he will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.".
i did some meditating on this scripture and came to the realization that this prophecy could have somehow been misinterpreted.

It has come to my understanding that the bruise that Satan had felt was his organizations removal from heaven and his confinement to the earthly realm (footstool) and since that time he knows that he only has a short time left to run his organization or seed. So he goes off to wage war against the remaining ones of the anointed flock on earth and the great crowd which could be considered a bruise to Jesus heel. If this is so, then there could possibly be a slight misinterpretation of that scripture.

I think it's a total misinterpretation of scripture - if the wtbts says something, then start with something else that's completely different and you'll probably be closer to knowing.

Where do I go from here?
by ddman ini left a year or so ago, told my parents about that time, (that was barrel of monkeys).
at that point i have just put beliefs in the "backburner".
i feel like i was burn't out on religion in general by the last 30 years or so in the borg.

Being a child is fun, and being a child means you don't know everything - religions are often an attempt at knowing everything (actually a purposely maintained delusion of 'knowing everything')
It's refreshing not to know stuff - it's adventurous - Christ said that to enter heaven you need to become like a child, not like a grownup

Society's claim of Matt. 24:14 being fulfilled - What it could really mean

my thought was this --- in the wake of the recent cutbacks at bethel, scaling back of literature, and other cost cutting measures, could the wts be preparing the r&f for the complete or massive reduction of literature that would normally be placed with "householders?

they have changed the doctrine about some of the people living in the generation of 1914 would see the end of this system.

It's simply commonsense that they had to change the doctrine or be further exposed as frauds - even the babies of 1914 are 92 years old already, so "by no means pass away" is pretty much debunked - it won't be long before there'll basically be no one.
Gee, I wonder why this "revealing light" didn't come their way in the '50s or '60s - like it had already for the rest of us.
I'd like to say "the blind leading the blind" ...........but it's more than that.......it is plain to see that the society utilised the "less talk the better" method of dealing with that.......a brief and downplayed mention about the
changenew light, a dropping of the Awake note, and you have a clean and credible leader of 'wiseness' to follow again - albeit a sinister one, but lets not mention that so it''ll go away. -

microphone duty
by praiseband inok, for those of us non-, and never before-jw's, will someone please explain what the big deal is about having responsibility for microphones is all about?
we do use microphones in our church, but ....i mean whoever is in charge of any technology that day sets up microphones.
it could be anyone in the church, male or female, young or old, the pastor, the janitor.

I'm not in the rotation for attendant, but everything on your list is part of my duties. I thought it could get me out of having to comment, but yesterday an elder cornered me and told me I had to comment more.
It's hard to believe that in this day and age their is a group of people who can perpetrate such standover tactics - to require that you provide certain censored comments as part of a charade of support to influence moral - I'd expect more from sales companies (ones that declare themselves that is)
